Elia Halbreich started working soft glass in 2007, and then moved to flameworking borosilicate in 2012 - his colors are anything but sleepy, but they might make you light up.

Craig Lewis aka "JoeBlowGlass"

Since 2001, glass has been a full time love afair for native Austinite, Craig Lewis.  Glass has taken him from coast to coast providing many great experiences and vast opportunities, allowing him to work with many top artists across the country.  Along with blowing glass, he has helped design and build many glassblowing studios and live events including Grav Studios, Hidden Oaks Studios, IHGI, DFO, Glassroots Art Show and numerous pop-up glass shows and private studios.  In 2013, Craig founded the Armadillo Art Glass Initiative.  AAGI raises money directly benefiting Meals On Wheels Central Texas with an annual live glassblowing event hosted at Grav in Austin, Texas.

R Jason Howard

R. Jason Howard is a glass artist who specializes in borosilicate flameworking. He lives in Skaneateles, New York, blowing glass full time and running his production studio, Cicada Glassworks. Howard first began working with glass in 1996 while at Hamilton College, with glass artist Robert Palusky. After a two-year internship as Hamilton's ceramic studio technician, he received a scholarship to The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass. There, he studied glassblowing and flameworking for the next several years, having the opportunity to work with artists such as Cesare Toffolo and Robert Mickelsen. He has also worked as a technical and artistic consultant for Northstar Glassworks, developing and reformulating colored borosilicate glasses.
Well-known in the flameworking community as a teacher, Howard is sought after for custom tuning and modifying German torches. He also demonstrates and lectures at conferences, and holds workshops and private classes, most recently in Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan. Howard's work is exhibited internationally in museums and galleries such as the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Museum of Art and Design in NYC, the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington, Kittrell-Riffkind Art Glass in Dallas, and Pismo Gallery in Denver. His work is also featured in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Cafesjian Center for the Arts in Yerevan, Armenia, and the Kobe Lampworking Museum in Kobe, Japan. He has won and has been nominated for the NICHE awards numerous times.

Andrew Certo

Andrew Certo lives and works out of his private studio in Philadelphia PA. He received his BFA in glass from Tyler School of Art at Temple University and has been working in glass since 2005. Andrew makes use of the hot shop, metals, and multi-media with a focus in flameworking. He has been a teacher’s assistant at the Pittsburgh Glass Center, and the Tyler School of Art and studies under numerous working artists. He assists working artists, fabricating components for sculpture, and works for several professional flameworkers in the inner city. He has shown his work at the Pittsburgh Glass Center, and continues to show it in Philadelphia.

Our studio rates depend on frequency of use and consistency of access. Those just beginning may only want to pay for daily slots in a studio, more established workers with bigger projects might need 24/7 access on a month-to-month basis.
